The Cirago Multimedia Center addresses those needs by combining the features of a DVR and external hard drive to become a virtual bridge between the Home Computer and Television. The DVR can record shows and time shift live TV like other units on the market, but doesn’t have the baggage of a monthly fee which can add up over time. The option of using it as an additional computer hard drive allows the user more room for music, photos, videos, and even homework.
By bridging the gap between the computer and television, the user now has the power to import recorded television programming to their computer to possibly implement in a presentation, or convert and transfer to a preferred mobile device. From the other perspective, the user can connect the device to their computer or home network to import content such as videos, music, or images and display them on their television to make content easier to enjoy.
The DVR function records in HQ to SLP at up to 720 x 480p and has a scheduling feature that allows the user toprogram recordings ahead of time. The Cirago Multimedia Center has up to 1400 hours of recordable time available on the 1TB model.
A secondary USB device with storage capacity can double up as additional memory when connected to the USB port on the Cirago Multimedia Center. A memory card reader is also built in for easy viewing of pictures and home videos from digital cameras. Files can be copied between the Cirago Multimedia Center and any external storage device or network without the need of a computer. A wireless USB adapter is also conveniently included for wireless connection.
